Central Council of Muslims in Germany (ZMD)
The Central Council of Muslims in Germany (ZMD) is the umbrella organization for various Muslim communities and organization. The composition of the ZMD forms the whole diversity of Muslims into Germany. Among others Turks, Arabs (Moroccans), German, Albanians, Iranians, Africans and Bosnians. Both Sunnis and Shiites are integrated in ZMD, which is reflected also in the theological sense. The club language is German. The ZMD and its members consider themselves to be part of this country and this society. The most important task of the ZMD is to promote Muslim life and the Islamic Spirituality in Germany and to allow the Muslims to practice their religion.
